Projects

How projects organize pages by site, client or section, and how agencies use them to keep clients separate in one account.

A project is a container for pages. Every page belongs to exactly one project, and scans, reports, schedules and alert settings are managed per project.

What to use projects for

  • One project per site. The simplest setup: your site, all its pages.
  • One project per client. Agencies keep each client’s pages, reports and alerts separate while using one login and one credit balance.
  • One project per content type. Software teams often separate the help center, comparison pages and the blog, because each changes at a different pace and has a different owner.

There is no limit on the number of projects. Credits are shared across the account.

What lives in a project

  • The pages (added by URL, sitemap or CSV)
  • The scan history and the latest report for each page
  • The scan schedule and the email addresses that receive alerts
  • Exports

Moving pages

Pages can be added to a project at any time. To reorganize, add the page to the new project and remove it from the old one; the scan history stays with the page in the project where it was scanned.
