Credits
One credit scans one page once. Re-scanning the same page uses another credit, because every claim is checked afresh against current sources. Imports, projects, reports, exports and alerts do not use credits; only scans do.
Monthly plans reset their credits at the start of each billing period. The 15 credits on the free plan do not expire.
Plans
Every plan includes every feature: multi-provider scan, source validation, the full report, CSV and PDF export, email alerts, projects and bulk import. Plans differ only in credits per month. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page; CiteRanger is in beta and prices may change before general availability.
Running out of credits
When a project has more pages than you have credits, scan a subset: the pages with the most traffic and the most links first. Scheduled scans that would exceed your remaining credits are paused and resume when credits reset; you are notified by email.
Changing or cancelling a plan
Upgrades take effect immediately with the new credit volume. Downgrades apply from the next billing period. Cancelling keeps the plan active until the end of the paid period; reports and projects remain accessible on the free plan afterwards.

Above the Business plan, credit volumes are set individually. Contact us with the number of pages you maintain and how often they should be scanned.
